4-5 months ( yes im behind )

4 month
5 month
Ok so I am little behind on updating and in baby world thats a lot behind. in the last two months Wyatt has learned so many new things . He now reaches for things and brings them right to his mouth to chew. He is that baby that grabs everything now! Cups, silverware, phones, remotes, anything and everything:) It is really amazing to see him lock eyes on an object and lunge his arms and body at it to get it. He puts his feet in his mouth all the time and loves sucking on his big toe until it tickles him. He is laughing and giggling all the time especially with mom and dad. The newest thing that happened right after 5 months is the push ups. Instead of getting on his elbows to roll he know gets up on his hands and does the mini pushup. The only downside to all this new rolling, pushing, grabbing and pulling is he loves experimenting with it all at bedtime. He has resorted  back to waking up every 3 hours at night to feed or to be held and I believe its because he rolls himself over and wakes up. We just bought a video baby monitor and its pretty funny to watch him lift his head and look all around for someone. He likes to roll to his Einstein fish tank and grab at it all night long. He is around 18 pounds and still seems so little to me. He has become really attached to me and no longer will take a bottle from anyone, so its Wyatt and mom all the time. I enjoy it though because soon I know it will be gone and I will miss my little baby.

We started aqua tots with Wyatt around 3 months, and have the done the dunk thing a few times. So far so good, he seems to like it and the coast guard pool we use here is really warm thankfully, but after about 10 minutes hes over it and wants a little nap. He will be swimming in now time!

First baby hour. Party!

We had our first Easter-Easter egg hunt as a family at Travis' work. Wyatt got one egg:)

At the DET- Travis' work.

We had a few trips in the last 2 months, Travis went to Las Vegas where he trained repelling down the damn. He has been blessed with some pretty cool trips in the last couple months and keeps gaining more knowledge and training for his job in the military. Meanwhile I went to Washington for the first time with Wyatt to meet all the family. My mom threw a welcome baby Wyatt party. It was really sweet and he and I had a good time coming home and visiting. It was way to short though, and next time I think we will need at least 2 weeks back home. I only have a few pictures from the party but will post more once I get them from my mom and Peg, so stand by:)

We also had my first mothers day which was so nice. Travis greeted Wyatt and I at the airport with roses and had chocolate covered strawberries waiting at home, homemade I might add. He made my favorite dinner steak, and also had homemade cheesecake. He bought me a really nice camera to start taking some good pictures for the house. So soon I will be using my professional camera to capture some cool things- I need a little practice tho. We also celebrated his 27th birthday with cake and a new range finder for his sheep hunt in August. Overall its been a wonderful last 2 months and we have some more trips, birthdays, and Father's Day coming up next month.

Wyatt's 3 months!

Well Wyatt is 3 months old! He is getting so big and growing every day, he is officially in his own room now. We first tried it at 3 months 2 days, and he fell asleep on his own like a champ. Its definitely bittersweet, but Wyatt and I get about 6-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep at night now. I swore to myself I was gonna wait and put him in his own crib at 6 months but after endless nights of feedings every 2 hours thru the night the doctors convinced me he needs to be in his own room. Sure enough the first night he slept 6 hours straight and then another 5 hours after that straight, with no waking up or fussing in between. Its sad because I loved turning over and seeing him next to me but it sure is nice getting some sleep again. He is awake a lot more during the day now but he is usually down for almost 12 hours at night, so the pay off is good! So proud of my little baby boy! Thanks for letting mom sleep again Wy man!

Satina "Mack" visit!

After we got back from Anchorage my Mack came into town from Seattle to meet little Wyatt for the first time and give me some much needed close friend time, yes thats what we call each other, Mack-long story. Travis said that Wyatt has to call her Tia Mack or Tia Satina when he starts talking, haha love it! Anyway she was here over a week and still it went by too fast. She along with everyone else who meets little Wy man got attached and didn't want to say goodbye. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the couch relaxing, renting movies and catching up, she and I needed this bad, this was her first vacation in a while, and I can always use Mack time. We had a few nice dinners and got to go out for a drink or two, which is always nice, while Trav got guy time at home with Wyatt. I love her dearly and already am needing a trip to see her soon.
Welcome Mack!!

Grandma Johnson and Trip to Anchorage

The trip to Anchorage went great. We left the dogs at home and had a neighbor kid come over and take care of them. I was a little nervous about that being their first time being watched but they did very well. I left a lot of treats for the kid to hopefully lure them and get to them to listen if they decided to mis behave. Haha they did awesome though, I really should give them more credit, especially Bubba. Anyway my mom and I flew into Anchorage and I got to use the family truck to pick up Traivs from the airport on his way back from Utah. It was a pretty cool reunion, I don't think he anticipated missing Wyatt so much. He spent a few extra minutes kissing on him before me so I KNOW he missed Wyatt a lot:) He bought him a bunch of little shirts and toys and it was very nice to have the family back together. We got to stay with Questa and Jesse in Anchorage and it was a very relaxing nice first night, with some awesome Thai food, haven't had that for a while so I was very excited! The next day we got to visit with Nana Laura for a minute and then we went shopping from about 10am to 4pm, yup shopping ahh just what I needed, a little retail therapy. Wyatt must have known I needed to walk around the mall aimlessly or something because he didn't make a peep the whole time and slept in his car seat! Perfect shopping buddy! That night we headed to Uncle Will and Aunt Lyndas for some homemade dinner and go to visit with the whole fam, and Wyatt got to meet his second cousin Liam who just turned a year! It was really nice seeing everyone with Wyatt for the first time. They just loved him, they all mentioned how much he looked like Uncle Rex, and yes he does! I remember Aunt Linda telling Grandpa, " man its like looking at my baby brother." Haha very cute, they all mentioned he was much cuter in person and they loved being with him. The next morning Aunt Lynda watched baby Wyatt for us and we went to breakfast with Grandpa Delbert, that was only the second person I have left him with, and I did surprisingly well but I was definitely missing him on the drive back. Anyway he was perfect and slept the whole time she said:) That night we got to go out to Red Robin, oh yeah I got a big fat hamburger, fries and vanilla milkshake, I had been dreaming of it ever since we got to Kodiak! Overall the trip was good but went way to fast. We will have to make a trip very soon. The flights for Wyatt for awesome too, he slept the whole there and the whole way back. Good baby!

Family in Anchorage.

Grandpa Delbert and his great grandson Wyatt. Grandpa says he likes Wyatt pretty good.

Newby men
Well my mother has come and gone. She was a huge help and enjoyed her time with her first grandson. She especially liked the fact they had matching hair, haha it was cute, she also agreed he definitely looks like a Newby boy. We had a lot of fun with Wyatt. The weeks she was here seemed to be when he really started vocalizing a lot and making more and more noises, especially in the morning. She did a lot of site seeing, and especially enjoyed the over abundance of bald eagles out here, their everywhere! The dogs really enjoyed mom, they slept on her lap and in her bed with her every chance they got. We did a hike to Fort Abercrombie with Wyatt and he seemed to do well in my backpack, however the walk in the jogging stroller did not do so well. He was screaming the entire time, guess we will wait to try that again! We are hoping she will get out here again with my dad and brother in the summer, but ticket prices are just outrageous right now so we will have to see. I could tell my mom got pretty attached to little man, and it was very hard for her to go. Wyatt will be in your arms again mom, don't worry!:)
