After 23 and half hours of labor we finally got to meet our healthy, happy, little baby boy Wyatt. He was 7.11 oz's and 21 inches, born on December 23rd, 2010 at 3:23 pm in Room 23 at Kodiak Providence Medical Hospital. The staff, especially our nurse Leanne and Doctor Webster were exceptional and took very good care of our family during delivery. We had a good and un-complicated delivery,( not pain free just uncomplicated haha ) He did however come out with a pretty smashed nose from being lodged for so long, but it eventually made its way back to the center. Travis was an awesome birth partner, assisting me with whatever necessary to get closer to our boy, and encouraging me to do it drug free. We wouldnt have been to do any of this without the help of a exceptional birthing teacher Zoya and her class. Without the class, his words and support it would have been very difficult, but those involved truly made the experience a beautiful and rewarding one for me. Travis' mom Peggy got to share in our experience as well and without her arms to squeeze and cold cloths thrown on my back I would have never made it out alive:) After an hour and half of pushing Travis was allowed to deliver Wyatt, which he did and he was officially the first to hold our son in the new world! Proud moment for Dad! Thank you to everybody for all the love, support, and prayers sent our way during my pregnancy and delivery, it all came out just as perfect as we could have asked for, so thank you!
